With technological development, the concept of place is being substituted in practice by that of circulation, and each individual’s identity now owes more to a culture in transit than to the territory s/he inhabits. Foro is a construction offered to Zumaia as a meeting point. Juan Carlos Robles has used railway equipment (carriage fittings) to reproduce the daily situation of shared living space experienced in the context of public transport. He plays with the rings in the Bilbao Metro logo to raise a structure of variable diameters housing a group of seats provided for resting, conversation and reading.
