Artistic background
Graduated from L’Ecole des Arts Décoratifs of Strasbourg (France), he felt the need to go from the design world to the visual arts. His centre of interest focused on light objects the moment he saw a work by James Turell in which the visitor could go through a lit wall. Since then he works with light as a material in itself. He makes pieces in very limited series. In 2003 he created an object entitled “This is a lamp”, doing reference to Magritte’s “This is not a pipe”.
